I grew up in Nazaré, in a family of fishermen — that's where I learned resilience, hard work, and to chase ambitious goals, and it still shapes the way I approach engineering today. I started with a technical IT course at Externato Dom Fuas, moved on to Computer Engineering in Aveiro, and since then I've worked at startups where I was the first employee and at global scale-ups where I led teams. My strength is backend: distributed systems, integrations, cloud migrations. Today I'm a Software Engineer (Senior Software Engineer at Pliant) and, in my free time, I build websites and custom software for businesses in my home region.

Built an internal integration platform replacing a 3rd-party iPaaS: +15% booking acceptance rate, piloted with 4k partners serving over a third of all reservations — now scaled to 15k+ partners and millions of bookings/check-ins.
Wellhub (ex-Gympass)Led backend and cloud infrastructure at a real-time logistics startup. Designed the fleet-management algorithms (goal: luggage pickup under 15 minutes), maintained critical microservices, and led planning, QA and team mentoring.
LUGGitFirst employee. My master’s thesis was built here and laid the foundation for key product features. Led the GCP→AWS migration and backend re-architecture to Go microservices; mentored trainees and juniors.
